Direct and easy
They do quality work and the people stand behind there work. The staff at the front desk are pleasant and very cheerful.
Schafer is honest, quick, and reliable. We moved to the area in 2019 and struck gold when we found this place.
Schafer’s is always extremely professional and thorough with their work. Doing regular maintenance with them has been a dream!
Schafer’s has taken care of my car for years and I can’t speak highly enough about them! My family does yearly cross country trips and the folks here have kept us traveling to all our favorite places. Thanks for all you do!
Incredibly helpful and thorough. They even let me keep my car there an extra day after my inspection and oil change; most places charge for that type of service.
Of all the cars I’ve had and shops I’ve gone to, I’ve never been treated so kindly and respectfully! As a woman who knows nothing about cars, it is difficult to find decent, trustworthy service and the staff at Schafer’s is amazing. They gave me a thorough understanding of the issues and repairs, consistently checked in during and AFTER the work they did and gave me confidence in their work. I will never go anywhere else.
Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful! I felt respected and very well taken care of, they explained everything to me and I never felt pressured into an upset. The comprehensive report they provide is the best I have ever gotten! Plus they washed my car!! Incredible experience I cannot recommend enough

Great people and great service!
This place is a hidden gem. From start to finish, the service is fantastic. They keep me informed about the appointment and the oil change and had me in and out in just over an hour.
I rarely write reviews, but felt Schafer's deserved one after my experiences with them.My car had it's catalytic converter stolen, and after the dealerships / other OEM part shops told me it could take anywhere from 3 - 12 months to get the part, I looked around and eventually came to Schafer's. They took my car in, and had a new aftermarket catalytic converter installed within 2 days.However, within a month or so, I started to get a check engine light, and the car just wasn't feeling right when driving. After taking it to my normal mechanic near my home, they told me the check engine code was related the catalytic converter, and it likely needed replacing.I called Schafer's about it, since they had done the original work, and without any hesitation they invited me to bring it back in. They determined the catalytic converter they installed had failed, and they installed a new one at no charge, standing behind their work. This work was also done within 2 days.I'm appreciative of their customer service and their attitudes through the process, as I'm sure there are other shops that would not have stood behind the work in the same way.Highly recommended if you find yourself with a stolen cat and need to get back on the road.

As always, everyone at Schafer's is courteous, efficient and goes above and beyond to make the necessary car upkeep a great experience. The only place in Philly we take our cars!

I took my truck here for 2 years at first there service was great and there prices were reasonable but the last time i took my truck to get fixed I felt like I got lied and scammed. My last inspection cost close to 5000 dollars and the time after that was about 3000 dollars where I was told they were going to fix my headlight bulbs for free but never put them in. The most recent time I took my truck there and the last time I will ever use there service my battery light was on and my abs light was on which I was charged 300 hundreds for tests to find out the problem they told me it could be the belt not turning the alternator fast enough or it could be the alternator. They fixed the belt and abs sensor that day cost me 1600 but over the weekend when I had my truck my brake light came on and abs light came on again still driving my car the whole weekend with the battery light on and abs light on Monday when I called was told I needed a alternator which would be 900 more. I finally got fed up and bought a new vehicle but was left feeling lied to and scammed by the service people in scaffers auto. If you do use there service be very cautious of what there doing and don't trust them like I did.

The people here are very friendly and helpful to get your car fixed. They are very honest.
These people are some no good shysters!!! They tried to charge me $649 for my flex pipe to be cut out and have a new one welded in. The part itself cost $89...I called around to a couple of places to see how much it would cost to get this done. Long story short I figured out they were trying to play me. I took my car to another shop and had the exact repair done that Schafer's Auto Center tried to charge me $649 for and got it done for $125. Tell me how is that possible unless Schafer's was trying to overcharge me? Do Not go here unless you want to be taken advantage of. Oh and @SchaferAutoCenter I pray you comment on this trying to refute it because I have the receipts!!! NO GOOD SHYSTERS!!! I would rather junk my car and walk than give these people my business!!!
Schaffer’s Auto treated me like family. Cindy, Jennifer ,Armand, Matt and George all have Excellent Customer Service!!! My catalytic converter was stolen. When I called Cindy answered the phone and told me I could come in. My suv was done fast. George did an Excellent job installing my new catalytic converter!!! Never go here for an inspection. If you fail an inspection due to front brakes needing replaced, most places will quote you and allow you to get brakes fixed elsewhere and then bring it back for the inspection tag. Not so here. They will charge you for a failed inspection and if you have the brakes fixed elsewhere they will require a re-inspection of $97.Oh and by the way front brakes and rotor for a camry $773. They cost me $350 at another garage.Shafer’s is either price gouging since they know they have me paying them $97 regardless. Or they just normally charge astronomically high for front brake and rotor replacement.Save your money and time, go somewhere else for your auto repairs.
Just used Schaefer's for the first time - and wow! What a great experience. Quick, efficient, affordable and so so kind. They even washed my car for me after they inspected it! Can't recommend these guys more, and will definitely be using them again next year.
I recently had my first experience at Schafer's and it won't be my last. I was very impressed with both the customer service and the quality of the repair itself. Unfortunately this was the second time my catalytic converter was stolen, and the first time a different garage returned the car with a rattling exhaust system. After Schafer's repair, the car was much quieter again. Also, this time the insurance adjuster was very challenging to reach, and Schafer's persisted in pursuing answers and in regularly communicating with me. I couldn't have asked for more helpful service. I was happy enough with my current mechanic (who recommended Schafer's for this particular job), but Schafer's had earned my business from here on out. Highly recommend.
