Got front brakes done on Friday. March 18 th. Payed. 175.00 . Went to dealers next day would have payed 99.00 . Was told we are a lot less than dealers .

- Took my 2000 Jeep Wrangler there on 6/30 for its yearly inspection. I asked if they could look into the blower for the heat and A/C since it was not working at all for 2 months. It was clearly written on the folder and sheet inside the folder that I requested they look at the blower. Was called a little past 4Pm on 6/30 by Jen saying my car was done. Got into a cab ($30 ride) got over there then got a call from the shop when I was out front saying it would not be done today due to an issue getting to the oil pan to replace it since it was leaking. Said no problem asked if I could pick it up on 7/6 since I would be out of town for the holiday. Came to the shop in the AM on 7/6 paid for the $1385 in expenses fully expecting the blower to work since they called and said it needed a coolant flush and was clogged and that is why the blower was not working. When I paid for all the service I figured for $1385 the blower would be working, like I was told. Got into my car, the blower still did not work. Went back in told them they got it in, ordered the part and I waited for it to be fixed. They got the blower installed and figured out something was shorting and that is what caused the blower to go. What I was not happy about was paying the $100 an hr labor cost at this point. I gladly would pay for the part cost. At this point I have already paid for $863 in labor, felt that they messed up on diagnosing the blower. The blower was going to be another $300 and change plus parts and labor needed to replace the electronics that was shorting. The guy at the front offered to take $60 off the cost. This barely covered the two cab rides over. I felt at this point that was not enough. I have already sat there at this point for 2-3 hours and also took two trips over (via a cab) and one of the two things I asked them to look at was not done. They value there time at $100 an hour but don't value the customers time, or that I was missing work which is costing me money since they didn't do what was supposed to be done. Jen argued with her son while I sat in the waiting room which was awkward, another mechanic made the statement "he just didn't care anymore." I also heard every excuse in the book whoever was there on 6/30 was already in vacation mode, the mechanic who worked on my car was new, Its always crazy at the end of the month due to people getting their cars in for inspection. I don't care this is not my problem! I would have rather of been told to bring it back next week when they had the proper time to look at it. The whole point is if I new my 15 year old car needed $2000 in repairs I probably would have went another route. They lost a customer over one hour of labor costs. Plus the understanding was that for $1385 the blower would be working which it clearly did not. It ended with the person at the front desk storming out removing the new blower and me leaving and questioning the integrity of the shop. I have referred others to the shop as well as bring my car here when it needs servicing when I am in town. But will not be going their in the future and would warn others to avoid the shop as well.

After putting of a needed repair off for some time, I'm glad I came in and had the work done. Great shop, great service and very competitive prices (way better than the dealership).

so far, the vehicle has been ok. The time it took was alright considering the amount of work the vehicle had done to it. The price was right on the estimate.

I have an older car that has given me lots of problems and was due for a state inspection when the engine light came on. The car was also making a horrendous rattling sound, that sounded like the exhaust system was a mess. The gang at Schafer's solved the exhaust issue quickly and easily as well as replacing a burnt out headlight. When the problem causing the engine light to go on was on the expensive side they worked with me to shave as much off the price as possible and were incredibly helpful and professional. They were also up front with me about which problems with my car were safety issues and which were just annoyances. Overall great service at a good price point.

Been going to these guys for every car issue since 2011. I won't go anywhere else.I don't care about the wait room, the repair costs, or the location. They're honest and treat customers with respect. That's all that matters to me.

Always come here for a oil change, never a long wait for service. They use top quality oil which is always a plus when it comes to your car. They answer any random questions I may have about my car without being impatient.

I was able to get a diagnosis on my car with a next day repair. They were able to fix a diagnosis that pep boys misdiagnosed. They are very knowledgeable on catalytic converter repairs. Overall, was a good experience

very expensive. 62.16 to balance tires. A bit much!!!Why is it necessary to idle the engine during the process?I have an engine clock if you're wondering how I know.

this place is absolutely the worst. they lie, cheat, and still try to charge you for doing absolutely nothing to your truck. the first time we brought it in they seemed legit and honest. they claimed to have done all this work but then not even a month later we take it back in and they say we need to do another thousand dollars worth of work for the problem on what they said that they fixed a few week earlier. they even wanted to charge me for having them look at it again. It hadn't even been a month since they "fixed" it. We said no way and then eventually went to a very trustworthy, honest mechanic and he showed us that schafers didn't even do any of the work they said they did. our print out from schafers of all the work they did was a joke. we paid just under two thousand dollars to them and they never replaced anything. dishonest shady shitbirds. i wish i could sue them for ruining our truck and ripping us off.
