Schaffer’s Auto treated me like family. Cindy, Jennifer ,Armand, Matt and George all have Excellent Customer Service!!! My catalytic converter was stolen. When I called Cindy answered the phone and told me I could come in. My suv was done fast. George did an Excellent job installing my new catalytic converter!!! I will be forever grateful to all the staff at Schaffer’s Auto. Will definitely go back again for my auto services. God Bless Everyone at Schaffer’s Auto Center
I will always hype up auto centers in Philly that are 100% in customer service and create a safe pleasant space for a woman. Just dropped off a car to be inspected and everyone inside was so so sweet and helpful. See you soon Schafer, you guys are great.
I took my truck here for 2 years at first there service was great and there prices were reasonable but the last time i took my truck to get fixed I felt like I got lied and scammed. My last inspection cost close to 5000 dollars and the time after that was about 3000 dollars where I was told they were going to fix my headlight bulbs for free but never put them in. The most recent time I took my truck there and the last time I will ever use there service my battery light was on and my abs light was on which I was charged 300 hundreds for tests to find out the problem they told me it could be the belt not turning the alternator fast enough or it could be the alternator. They fixed the belt and abs sensor that day cost me 1600 but over the weekend when I had my truck my brake light came on and abs light came on again still driving my car the whole weekend with the battery light on and abs light on Monday when I called was told I needed a alternator which would be 900 more. I finally got fed up and bought a new vehicle but was left feeling lied to and scammed by the service people in scaffers auto. If you do use there service be very cautious of what there doing and don't trust them like I did.

Very friendly customer service both on the phone and in person. Everything went off without a hitch.
These people are some no good shysters!!! They tried to charge me $649 for my flex pipe to be cut out and have a new one welded in. The part itself cost $89...I called around to a couple of places to see how much it would cost to get this done. Long story short I figured out they were trying to play me. I took my car to another shop and had the exact repair done that Schafer's Auto Center tried to charge me $649 for and got it done for $125. Tell me how is that possible unless Schafer's was trying to overcharge me? Do Not go here unless you want to be taken advantage of. Oh and @SchaferAutoCenter I pray you comment on this trying to refute it because I have the receipts!!! NO GOOD SHYSTERS!!! I would rather junk my car and walk than give these people my business!!!
I came in to get a tire patched and everyone there was great! It was quick, easy, and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning for maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
I recently had my first experience at Schafer's and it won't be my last. I was very impressed with both the customer service and the quality of the repair itself. Unfortunately this was the second time my catalytic converter was stolen, and the first time a different garage returned the car with a rattling exhaust system. After Schafer's repair, the car was much quieter again. Also, this time the insurance adjuster was very challenging to reach, and Schafer's persisted in pursuing answers and in regularly communicating with me. I couldn't have asked for more helpful service. I was happy enough with my current mechanic (who recommended Schafer's for this particular job), but Schafer's had earned my business from here on out. Highly recommend.

They stand behind their work. I had a new alternator put in by the dealer. It died again after only 15 months and they told me it was outside their one year warranty. Schafer's replaced with a new alternator and offers a lifetime warranty. Lifetime! I'll never go back to the dealer again. The owner cares about his customers and provides great service. Thanks!
The mechanic I used for the past 6 years seems to have shutdown unexpectedly perhaps due to covid. I needed an oil change, my ac checked out, and my muffler started making noise. Having a good autoshop that I can trust is always a concern for me since I don't know much about cars and too many of them take advantage of that. Schafers was near by and had good reviews so I decided to try them out. Everyone was super friendly and professional. I really liked that they send you a link with pictures and video showing what they saw, and what work they reccomend to get done. A technician called me to walk me through it and share costs. When I came to pick up my car the owner Michael even ran my car to get it washed. They also had social distancing, lysol cleaning etc in place. Would reccomend trying them out, I will definitely be returning.
Great customer service! The owner, Mike is a stand up guy and does good work. Had both of my catalytic converters stolen and he was able to replace them with a universal one, that ended up saving me a good $1000. Along with that, he offered a free oil change the next time I came in, which was unnecessary but greatly appreciated. All in all, I’ll be using his shop as he tells me what’s going on straight up and doesn’t penny pinch. Highly recommend.
After receiving their flyer by mail yesterday, I decided to drop by and see if I could get a new car inspection today.I spoke with Jennifer and found her to be extremely helpful and friendly. Although by appointment only she was able to squeeze me in almost immediately. Jennifer was great! She offered me the use of their charging station and a good cup of coffee. I received a copy of the inspection via text and a call when the car was ready. Oh, and they even washed it!! Outstanding customer service!! Thank you

Mike and his crew always go above and beyond. The service is top notch (contactless payment, cleaning your car, honest feedback), the communication is incredible (automated reports with details and photos). You won’t find a better mechanic in Philadelphia, period.
DON’T BE FOOLED BY THEIR OVERLY NICE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are sneaky, and not to be trusted with your car.Came to this place as a first-time car owner just looking for a state inspection. They overcharged me so much that by the end of inspection, I was paying over $400. My air worked completely fine before arriving, and my check engine was off. After leaving, both were the opposite. Days later, I found out by another mechanic that Scafer’s had PURPOSELY removed the A/C clutch relay from my car, which caused the air to not work at all, and turned on the check engine light. They acted as if they couldn’t understand why this had happened, but were the ONLY HANDS to even TOUCH my car. Just another evil mechanic taking advantage of a customer.ServicesService not listed
So let me tell you about this wonderful place I came across by luck.I have been looking for a place to check what was happening to my car after the check engine light came on. I had no clue what was happening as i needed that to be off to get my car inspected. I called earlier this week and Jennifer (the best person ever if i may say) assured me that i can go and get a complimentary whole car system check to really find out was was wrong. Keep in mind its an old car and it looks like the previous owner wasn't really into checking internal issues. Today i went in to see what was happening to my 2010 Honda CRV. Anyways once the report came back she told me exactly what was wrong and even send it to my phone, so i could go along with what she was talking about, with pictures and all. She gave me the good the bad and the ugly and told me what exactly i needed to fix, so you know i would get in a wreck or something. Her calming tone and reassurance allowed me to trust her and do what she recommended. At the end I had to change my catalytic converter, align my tires and axes, and get a new battery as the old one was about to die. The other things she explained it to me and made sure that it wasn't a serious issue but that i should consider changing them once i had a bit more money in my pocket. Overall, what i can tell you is that they have my service for life and i will be going to them for everything car related. The management aka Jennifer and the whole team made sure my car was back to running in great conditions. And the best part is that there is warranty with what ever they do. I highly recommend it and highly encourage anyone looking for a local reliable place to go here. I went in with a smile and came out with a bigger smile. Also, they have this little section where i was relaxing and doing school work. Best place ever. Thank you guys
I went to Schafer’s for some exhaust work to pass the state inspection and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. We just moved here from Atlanta and had been to two other shops where we felt like we were being taken for all of our money. I went to Schafer and Mike hooked me up with the exhaust work and state inspection for a third of what the others were charging. He was super nice and went the extra mile to help us out.When you find a good mechanic you stick with them. We are a three car family and every one of them is going to Schafer for their maintenance and inspections. You won’t regret going here!
I've been going to Schafer's for almost 5 years now. If I can't fix it myself, these guys are my first and only call. Fair pricing, great workmanship, and friendly people. Plus they'll Uber you to and from their shop while you wait for your car. I'll be coming here for a very long time.
