They were able to accommodate me as a walk in client for urgent service. They were thorough and professional. My vehicle was checked and reissued as promised. EGM is the only service station that I use for auto repairs.
This place is awesome! They are fair and honest with the work they do. This shop is knowledgeable and honestly my go to whenever I have car issues. Customer service is A+- Manny and Russ go above and beyond to provide excellent service.
Update 4.23.2021 at 2:42PM: The store owner responded but did not disclose the full story. Anyways, let me add some - in simple words, there was a small amount of price change so I declined the work. But then they tried to do another small amount of rip-off. Arguing about rip-off is frustrating, especially to the customers. None of these are huge issues and there were so many ways to resolve it, until the owner chose a bad way and treated me rudely. I don't even care about a 40 dollar difference. He didn't get the point. I hope this comment is helpful to the store owner too.Original Comment:I want to leave an accurate review in order to help the future customers. In regard of the quality and workmanship of this store, they are very good. I used to be a return customer at this store. But recently I encountered an issue at their store. I was politely asking about the reasoning behind an unprecedented add of cost, but their store owner suddenly responded in an extremely rude way. I tried multiple times to bring him back to a normal conversation, but he failed to calm down and started accusing me for various kinds of nonexistent reasons. Questioning and answering about added costs are daily practices of business, but this store owner handled it in a very disappointing way. Maybe he simply did not know what he did wrong or he was just in a bad mood, but I don't think I want to visit this store ever again. I give them 2 stars, not 1, because their technicians work hard.
I was going on a long trip and had them check my car for any issues. They came back with recommendations that I had done! Car did great on the 14 hour one way trip! I will use them again!
Brought in our Lexus gx470 and had it expertly looked over and advised on for issues the ‘stealership’ overlooked or exaggerated. Excellent work and great price. Would highly recommend for anyone who isn’t familiar with vehicles and timid on bringing into small shops.
I have an old car and want to hold onto it as long as possible. I am so glad that I found EGM Automotive. Their prices were fair with honest feedback, not an aggressive up-sell. I'm no longer panicked when I notice there is something wrong with my car because I know EGM Auto will take care of things.
We HIGHLY recommend EGM Automotive! We brought our Dodge Caravan to the local dealership for service recently and they took 3 days to provide a diagnosis. Additionally, they quoted $3,700 in repairs. The entire experience was brutal so we pulled our van out of there and took it to EGM for a second opinion. From the very start, the experience at EGM was so much better. Manny, Russ, Randy and Team actually care about the customer experience and that was evident from the beginning. They provided a diagnosis in 1 day, were informative throughout the process and as they dug into the problem, they actually found that the dealerships original diagnosis was wrong. I needed my a/c fixed before the hot days arrive. I put a post out on the Elk Grove Village Facebook Page and EGM was mentioned the most, so I gave them a try. When it comes to getting work done on my vehicle I want trust, honestly and communication. EGM really delivered all the above. Super happy with the service and 100% recommend giving them your trust!
Great shop. My air conditioner was broken on my Ford ranger Manny got it fixed in a prompt time. It works so well like better than new I'm thinking of using it as a freezer in my driveway when at home. They followed up to make sure workmanship and parts are working to my satisfaction. Great bunch of guys. I will be telling everybody what a great shop Manny has. Thanks again fellows.
My car recently needed a repair, replacement actually, to my right, front sway bar. When visiting EGM in person to schedule the fix, I was courteously greeted by Russ, the manager, who gave me a reasonable estimate and worked with me to arrange a time that'd fit my work schedule. Upon dropoff of my car, Russ himself drove me to my office and once complete, only a few hours later, my car was returned to me at my place of work.Additionally, a few days after the repair, Manny, the owner of the business reached out to me personally to make sure all had gone well and that I was satisfied with EGM's repair and service. ... My reply was a resounding "Yes!" ... with the add that it was great to now be able to make a right turn without sounding like my axle was going to crack in two!In short, EGM's reputation is one of reasonable, reliable repairs and courteous, helpful customer service.. and it's why they've been, and remain to be, the only crew I use for my car repair needs.
They did the repair flawlessly. Car is very cold and prior was so hot hard to breath with windows closed. There was also an error light and on the dash and warning noise, thought was caused by service. Brought it back and they took the time to check, no attitude very accommodating and friendly, explained it was an aftermarket radar detector the previous owner installed. They must of turned up the volume when working on it. So found out had another feature on car not aware of - they are wonderful to work with, have gone there for a number of years. Highly recommend.
Great of repair matched the quality of people! I asked if they could walk me through the issues I was having with the car. They took me into the shop and explained the issues as well as options to take. Very thorough. They got my car back to me within 20 hours of me dropping it off (given the fact that they had all the parts)! I would use their services again, problem is... my car works now, so I guess it wouldn’t make sense...
Everyone at EGM auto was awesome!! I had a few things that I had let go for a while that all needed to be repaired at once, and they were able to make the whole process smooth. After being told by the dealership a couple major things needed to be fixed, our mechanic, Bob, actually found that less work needed to be done, and they were able to make the necessary repairs without making it a bigger job than it needed to be. Russ, the service manager, was also great with explaining everything and giving us updates along the way as the work progressed. While I hope to not have to bring my car in for service again anytime soon, I will definitely bring it back to EGM the next time!!!
I use to work for the owner years ago. I recently took my van to him for repairs. They are great guys. Honest with their work. Took their time to go over everything going on with my van since I had many issues going on at once. They were able to locate the source of the issue and fixed it quickly. Even went above an beyond and got my key working again! Thanks again Manny, Russ and Bob!
We have brought all 4 cars to EGM for everything from oil changes to brakes to problem visits. The owner takes the time to explain everything that needs to be done. Pricing is fair and honest. The customer service is top notch. Trustworthy shop that I recommend to everyone!
I have been bringing my vehicles to Manny and Russ for the past 8 years! Awesome work and great prices. Always going above and beyond when needed! I truly trust them especially as a female you don’t want to get taken advantage of. You have also have amazing techs!!!! If your thinking about coming their shop I 100% recommend it!!!
Took my vehicle there for a Complete Vehicle inspection and Oil change and all of the staff were very informative and honest! The mechanic Bob showed me a couple of cracks I had in the belts and that my rear brakes were down to 10%. The waiting area is very clean and has complimentary drinks and snacks while your waiting. The Service Advisor, Russ had a detailed invoice of everything they checked, along with an estimate for when I want to get the brakes and belts replaced. I appreciate the time Bob took to do the thorough inspection and the estimate Russ put together for me for the work I need done. Highly recommended after experiencing their service and price comparing!!
Called the shop and spoke with Russ about getting my rear brakes changed and they were able to schedule me for next day service! I was able to drop my vehicle off and was offered to be taken to work nearby so that I was not wasting money on Uber. Bob was a pleasure to talk to on the way there and said he would have my vehicle ready well before I was off work. Upon completion, Bob picked me up and took me back to the shop to pay. I was shocked to see how much cheaper they were compared to a few other places I had called! Service was excellent and I will be returning, as well as recommending!
EGM is the only mechanic I would recommend. Customer service is amazing, they seem to be on a first name basis with a lot of their customers. They are honest, on time, and willing to explain what is need with a smile on their face. They take the extra steps to make sure you are happy, I got a text from Manny just to ensure everything is working with my truck they fixed. Pricing is more than fair! Try this spot, you won’t be disappointed!

Have been using Marathon for some time now. Also sent a few friends there and Russ the Manager has never disappointed. My favorite mechanic is Bobby. He is very knowledgable and competent. Everybody is friendly and tries their best to help. They've always taken care of me to the highest extent. Thanks Manny for a great crew!

The station has really gone hi tech with online appointments, vehicle history being stored and now an electronic check list that becomes part of every visit and your permanent record. Awesome!

I'm just reviewing the gas station as I have not been a customer of the repair shop. The gas station has good gas prices, but almost no selection of snacks and drinks. The thing that is the most frustrating is that they close VERY early, even on weekends. I've never seen a gas station close that early. 🤔🤷♀️ The staff is friendly though and we will stop by if we really need gas and it's the closest station to us.

This gas station is usually fast. I normally use it on my way home from work around 4:35pm on Mondays. Has a convenient exit to get right back onto Rohlwing northbound.
Elk Grove marathon is simply the best place to take your caras they are very helpful and know the ins and outs of car care.They are also friendly as hell and they won't rip you off like the dealersdo. so why go anywhere else .
