i had been a customer of atlantic autowerks on and off for about 2 years, and i can honestly say that this shop is a place to avoid. appearences can be deceiving unfortunately, the staff is well-mannered and somewhat knowledgeable but they are very dishonest in their practices and it took me a while and several thousand to learn from the experience, the owners bob and terry are long-standing members of the bmw commmunity but they take advantage of customers. they continue to shrink their waranty period and sometimes remove it completely from invoices, they claim all parts are genuine bmw and charge accordingly but they source many aftermaket parts, they dont use sealant on gaskets and this causes leak repairs to fail prematurely and require more future maintenance. in my personal the experience the worst betrayal of trust was when i spent over 4k on a timing related repair that was originally qouted at 3.2k, atlantic autowerks replaced my chain and guide rails but messed up on my engines timing even more, then they lied claiming that they tried numerous times to redo the job and then tried to cover it up with false information claiming that my engine had other problems, they claimed there were teflon components that in my engine that were worn i latter researched the parts and discovered there were no teflon components in that part of the engine to wear, i ended up getting a true bmw master technician to fix their mistake for a fraction of the original cost and in the process i found that their were other parts on the repair that were not done properly and in one case they forgot to replace a bolts for the oil separator and neglected to ground the ignition coils, my engine could have failed permanently after the inferioir repair atlantic autowerks did and i would have had no recourse. i researched the proper way to do the repair and observed it being done the right way and iscovered that doing the joib right the first time required special tools actually made by bmw for that specific engine also correcting the mistake would not have taken long no more than 2 hours, this is the first time i am leaving a negative review for anyone and i have thought about it for some time making sure that i got my facts right, all of them, please do not support these types of people and business practices.

I am an owner of a 1997 BMW 528i with 312,000 miles. I have trusted Atlantic Autowerks with the care of it since I was at 40,000 miles (1999). They have always offered warm and friendly service which ultimately gave me a high level of comfort. They're exceptionally good about communicating what is required in order to achieve optimal performance. These guys are experts!!! I will continue to trust them with my vehicle as I strive for the 400,000 mile mark. Thank you again Atlantic Autowerks (guys at the front desk and father). And special thanks to Ralph who is the unsung hero doing the work behind the scenes.

Once again the pros at Atlantic Autowerks came through in the clutch. My car overheated and I was towed into the shop at 0730 by Triple A and my car was diagnosed, fixed and I was on my way by the next day. There was a complete failure of the thermostate housing, a high-pressure piece of molded plastic, that just simply cracked and let all the water out at once. I guess for a 17 year old car with over 283,000 miles I can't complain. But Atlantic got the part, did the install, checked my head gasket and other moving parts and had me out the door before the close of business that day. Just simply the best service you could ever ask for.

My first experience with a BMW. The team of mechanics ran the troubleshooting, read out the codes that caused erratic idle and misfires. Explained with details how the system works and what was causing all the issues. The 330i had a bad intake manifold actuator DISA valve. They know these cars like the palm of their hands. Highly recommend.

My battery that was installed almost 2 years ago went dead. I called and spoke to Bob and he informed me he needed some numbers off the battery. I took it to them and he found out it was 100% covered by warranty. This was a very pleasant surprise as most warranties I have are usually some catches and never seem to cover my issues. This worked out great. As all of my experiences in the past they deliver what they promise. Keep up the great work and ethics. V/R, Bill Lauterbach

The Mini was quickly assessed and the problem corrected. I also had a routine service performed at the same time. Atlantic Autowerks has been my repair shop of choice since they started in the late 1980's. Bob, Terry, Mike, Steve, David, and Ralph are great to deal with.

Once again, Atlantic Autowerks delivered exceptional customer service, getting my vehicle in and out quickly and treating me with the utmost respect. There are a lot of service organizations that say they can get your vehicle in and out for an oil change in under an hour, few have ever delivered that for me. The professionals at Atlantic just do it, no big talk, they get me in, out and back on the road in under an hour nearly every time. This time I even had a Check Engine Light service and a State Inspection and still was there for just a little over an hour - not even an hour and a half! I trust these guys with my BMW and for over 7 years they have kept my 525 running like new, even at 281,440 miles I can safely go anywhere, anytime and I owe that confidence to Atlantic Autowerks.

I needed some last minute work done before a road trip. The dealer couldn't schedule an appointment for my MINI Cooper for over a week. The service advisor at MINI recommended Atlantic Autowerks. I'm glad he did. They took me in a day later, diagnosed and repaired the problem (faulty wheel speed sensor) in about 4 hours. And, all for a price I'm sure is cheaper than the dealer. I know the diagnosis charge was almost half what the dealer charges. Excellent overall experience.

Very pleased with the knowledge of customer service and the tech's. My first visit my radio wasn't working on my 745LI and they had it figured out in less than 15 minutes. I called BMW no help and took my car to a local car radio installer who had me waiting for 5 hours and couldn't fix my problem. I have found a good home to service my vehicle.

Our 2007 550i was leaking oil from both valve covers, timing chain covers, vacuum pump, and alternator bracket. Atlantic was able to repair all the leaks in the two days they said it would take, and at substantially less than the local BMW dealer. Only problem was they re-used an existing vacuum line, which had a crack in it that only leaked once it was warmed up. We brought it back and they were able to diagnose and fix that right in the parking lot in about 2 minutes. Great response but I suggest they add replacing the old vacuum line to the standard repair. Adding a couple of bucks for that would have avoided a weekend of worry with a chirping car. They handled the problem well, and we plan on using them again.

New to VB - just needed oil change/tire rotation but also what needed at 40K. Looking for a trusting place to continue bringing my SAAB so I can prevent rather than pay & hopefully find the parts (ie SAAB) Very very happy with the service, honesty and no stress.

What I like about the Atlantic Autowerks crew is that they take time to explain what the problem is and what their about to do to fix the problem. When your paying lots of money to fix your car, you really wanna know whats going on with it. Keep up the good werk!!

I've owned both a 528i & X5 BMW over the last fifteen years. My present X5 model was purchased new in 2003. Both BMW's in the earlier years were serviced by the dealerships. For about 10 years, Atlantic Autowerks has been my choice. Prices have been fair, service prompt,& pleasent. All staff are knowledgeable & take time to explain & suggest necessary service etc. I recommed them to others. I also enjoy that their records are kept current etc.Being owner of Stokley's Services,Inc and a mechanical contractor myself,I admire their expertise. Have come to trust my car to the professionals at Autowerks. They have earned that trust by their honestly, helpful service, and expertly performing the work in the timeframe and at the price they quoted. Most importantly, my 70,000 mile X3 runs GREAT due in large part of their detailed servicing of it.

The experience was great, the technician was very pleasant and informing(a must for us). On retrieveing our vehicle, the service attendant was equally professional. I think we have found a "new home" for auto repairs.
