Excellent customer service. Tim was super helpful and understanding. He gave me a ride home after I left my vehicle for inspection and also offered me a ride back to the shop upon completion of services. I am totally satisfied with Ricks Automotive. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Sometimes we forget to say Thank you to people for a job well done, we do however remember to complain when we feel we need to. I have to say a big Thank You to all at Rick's Automotive, for the care, the concern, and the knowledge they have for my car and for my time. They have never dissapointed me. I would recommend Rick's to all who are looking for someone Honest, and friendly, and if waiting for the car it is a very clean place to wait as well. I never have to worry that I am getting taken advantage of. Thank you again for all you do.

Cleanest, most honest garage in town! Rick and his whole crew are very professional, not pushy, take the time to explain the repairs, the options and always follow up to make sure the job is done to your satisfaction.

When my mechanic retired last year, I put out the word via FB for recommendations for a mechanic. 3 friends recommended Rick's. I gave them a shot and was not disappointed. I have taken 2 different cars there on two occasions. The first thing I noticed was that the shop was very clean and well organized. Rick is there @7am ready to write up a service order on your vehicle. Rick is a very honest, down to earth guy and it shows. He calls with an estimate and goes over it point by point. When my car was in for a fuel pump, he noticed a couple of other things that needed repair while the car was on the lift. He told me about them, but I declined as I didnt have the money to do the repairs at the time. I was not given the high pressure sales pitch about doing the repairs, instead, Rick noted them in my file. If you are looking for the cheapest mechanic to fix your car...Rick's is not the place. Rick does high quality work for a fair price...and dont forget that they offer a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty on their repairs. I challenge you to find that guarantee anywhere!!! You might be lucky to find 90 day warranty at most shops or in the case of the "bargain basement, super cheap" shops...the warranty ends when you drive it out of the shop. If you are looking for a good, honest mechanic that does high quality work at a fair price...give Rick's a shot. My only complaint is that they arent open past 5pm, but it's not that big of a deal.

Ricks Automotive is an extremely unprofessional business, After having written a check to Ricks my bank account froze it because of fraud. Ricks Automotive subsequently sought out my business’s facebook page and posted that I had bounced a check and that I committed fraud. This is before they even contacted me to resolve the problem. I paid them over the phone the next day, and even paid for the cost of the check that bounced. The funny thing is… I had to bring my car back in twice, as they didn't fix what I had brought it in for satisfactorily. I cannot believe the audacity of this place....

I have been willing to drive the 15 miles to Rick's for a long time now for all my car repairs. The quotes are fair and the business is honest.

A friend recommended Rick's Automotive so when my daughter's 98 Toyota wouldn't pass the smog check I took it there. When Rick called me on the phone he said the timing belt, front brakes and valve cover gaskets needed to be replaced and would cost $2,500. He said this was a great car and to tell him if I wanted to sell it. I thought his strange offer to buy the car was possibly a tactic he often used to convince people to make expensive repairs on older cars. I told him to just to fix the original problem. Rick called back and said that the two air intake boots had holes in them and the cost to replace them was $225, which I agreed to. Later he called back and said that didn't fix the problem and that he would need to replace the knock sensor for another $1,000. I told him that I would rather junk the car especially since it needed all the other work. Strangely enough at that point he didn't offered to buy the car as he implied earlier. I suspect that his scam is to hook you with the inexpensive $200 repair and then go in for the kill with the $1,000 repair. Bottom line, Rick is an expert at separating you from your money. Oh and he doesn't take American Express.

Everyone is always friendly and very helpful when I have taken my cars in Rick's. They try and save you as much money as possible and are willing to work with you. Davren and Rick explain what needs to be done to fix the problem in a way you can understand. The repairs are always done as quickly as possible, then they wash your car!

I went to Rick's for the first time yesterday and really appreciate how well they treated me and took care of my car in a timely manner. I thought that customer service was lost in businesses these days, but Rick's people have put the faith back in me. I won't be going to the big chain shop any longer - I am ONLY using Rick's from now on. They have won me over and all of my family! Thank you for making my car happy, not breaking the bank in the process and being such honest mechanics. A+ to you and your team!!!

Having never been to Rick's Automotive I was hesitant to try a new place since I typically take my car to the dealership for repairs. I was very pleased with the excellent service I received. They made me feel at ease with the repairs needed on my car and were very friendly. I'm glad I gave them a shot. It was worth it.

Davren was very informative on my Mercedes. I was going to take it to the Mercedes Dealership. But, last time I went to Mercedes they added all these extra charges! I was very happy with Rick's Automotive. I will be back in the future.

I had a host of issues with my car after a long patronage with Pep Boys. I finally decided to break the constant repair cycle and got a recommendation to go to Rick's. The service is very courteous and they are very knowledgeable. After a diagnostic I got a review of the issues with my car which 90% was already paid for at Pep Boys. The manager was very helpful and placed a call to Pep Boys to have them fix the issues. I had the remaining work repaired at Rick's and was satisfied with the service and time. Rick's does not cut corners so they can be pricey I would compare their prices to what you would expect at the dealer's. However, at this point I am a firm believer in the saying "you get what you pay for".

I was recommend to Rick's Automotive by a co-worker and I have taken my truck to them twice now. Each time they worked with me to help me understand the problem and dicuss all my options for fixing the problem. They went out of their way to help me find a cost effective fix for my older truck and even guaranteed their work for installing a used part. You won't find that anywhere else! I would recommend Rick's to anyone. Great service, friendly, and honest.

Rick's Automotive is a great business. I was referred to them by a friend that also works in the automotive industry. They were very friendly. It was very east to make an appointment and I got my car back in a timely manner. My check engine light was on and they did a great job fixing my car and working with me to prioritize repairs based on my budget. I would definitely refer this business.

My fiance recommended Rick's to me and now I realize I had no idea what a quality mechanic was until now. This is one of those companies where, after experiencing their quality of work, attention to detail and professionalism, you wonder why more companies can't uphold this standard. They threw in a free headlight cleaning for me and my fiance, going beyond what was expected. Not only is their quality of work impeccable but they are always super friendly and helpful. Even the mechanics who, at other businesses would only be concerned with their duties working on the car, at Rick's they were also excellent at customer service. They approached me smiling and wanting to know how they could help me. Can't recommend higher! BTW we drive all the way from North Hollywood because Rick's is so good.

This place is a rip off. Granted my car had an issue but that wasn't the reason why I went there to begin with and their so-called inspection made it significantly worse, to the point where my car was not driveable and then they had the audacity to tell me their fee was almost twice what I was quoted anywhere else! Avoid this place. If you are willing there are a few honest and great auto repair shops up in Santa Clarita.

I have been a loyal Rick's customer for years and I should have written this a long time ago. I just had new headlights put into my 2002 rsx and as always, they did a fantastic job. I challenge anyone to find better customer service in the valley. Not to mention a full, knowledgeable staff that consistently does top tier work. My whole family as well as coworkers have been converted to Rick's customers after just one visit. That's all it takes to see that they're on another level of service.

My 2006 Acura is the third car I have taken to Rick's Auto. The shop is immaculate. I found the employees to be friendly and quite competent. I have always been a dealer only customer; not anymore, this is a top notch shop!

I've been using Rick's for more than 10 years. Great service - fast, friendly, honest and competent. I don't take my cars anywhere else.

My car had two separate issues. The driver side window was on the brink of death and a rattling noise was heard coming from under the hood. I need the vehicle repair quickly and needed a place convenient to me. I saw Rick's in passing and called. Rick answered and was friendly and professional. Before taking my vehicle there, I checked online to see if there were any negative reviews. I could not find any negative ones but did find one posititve review. I took my vehicle to Rick who said he would diagnosis both problems for about $70.00. If I chose to repair it there, the $70.00 would be applied to the cost of repair. Rick called me within about 2 hours advising me that the window regulator had gone out and 2 belts (noise problem) were bad. A few other things needed replaced as well. The cost was just shy of $1,400. Yikes! But I do realize the cost of parts was pretty hefty... So, I gave the green light. Approximately 4 or 5 hours later, I received a call from Rick. The car was ready! (WOW!!!) When I arrived to pick up my car, Rick explained to me the breakdown of the billing and even showed me the old parts that had been replaced. He also told me there was a 2 year warranty on the work he performed. (Since he has been in business for 24 years, I felt good about that if the work went bad, he would still be around.) The best part... they washed my car! LOL! But it did give me the feeling (after paying a small fortune) that I was driving away in a new car. :) On a side note, while I was a Rick's, I noticed several regular customers stop by to say hello to Rick or to have work done. Rick knew each one by name. There is a reason Rick has been in business so long and why he has regulars... including me now... This part added about one week after service and original review- About one week has passed. During that time, I received one phone call from Ricks to make sure my vehicle repairs had not gone bad and a postcard to thank me for using Rick's for my repair. What great customer service!

I've been going to Rick for years and won't take my car elsewhere now. Rick believes in good old-fashioned top notch customer service. You'll get an accurate estimate on price and time and super-friendly service. When I was looking for a used car to buy, I took a couple of prospective cars for him to inspect. He was straightforward about what each one would need and I bought the one he thought was best. That was 2 years ago and Rick has maintained it beautifully. I've also seen them work on a few nice vintage cars.

Rick was so amazing to me. I had just bought my roommate's car before coming to LA and about a month after getting here, the (manual) transmission went out. Rick was recommended to me by a friend of a friend who is a car club guy. I took my Saturn into him and he got back to me within 24 hours with a diagnostic and my options. I needed to get a whole new transmission. He worked with me on getting a rebuilt instead of a new one and helped me cut costs where ever we could. Everyone who worked there was so helpful and friendly and compassionate. I am now living in West LA but I would still take my car into him for any major repair I needed. He is totally trustworthy and just a pleasure to work with. If you need a car guy you can trust, go to Rick! They also sent me an xmas card. :)

Rick's Automotive on Balboa in Granada Hills is the best place ever to take your car. I love that they text me reminders when it's time for my service, their shop is clean, and Rick and Tim are so knowledgable and friendly! They make you feel just like family. And they send a text after servicing my car to ask if everything is / was ok! Highly recommend!!

Took my 2001 BMW to this repair shop based on a friend's referral. It's a clean shop, with knowledgeable mechanics and quick turn-around. The explanation of the problems and the repair performed was thorough. Pricing is competitive, particularly for the high quality work you are getting. I would highly recommend this shop. They have a customer for life!
