I can't say enough good things about Spencer's auto repair. I was recently on a road trip when I started experiencing car problems. They were courteous, professional, and went above and beyond to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. They were able to offer me one of their complimentary loaners cars so I didn't have to be without transportation while they repaired mine. They communicated with me every step of the way and I was back on the road in no time. If you're looking for a shop that truly cares about taking care of their customers and provides an exemplary service then you've found your forever home with this shop.

Had hit curb hard/fast...bent something in front suspension..wasn't good. Made appointment...dropped car off@ 8am; drove off in "free" courtesy car (big plus!). Service rep Brian did excellent job using texts/emails to keep me updated on problem/repair & parts needed (bent the right strut) and cost/options. I chose what I wanted them to fix/do; no hard sell for anything else. Very reasonable cost... @ 3pm, got a text..car was ready! Wow! Didn't expect it done SAME day! Great service, friendly, professional shop. 2nd time I've used them; great both times. Highly recommend Spencer's!

I brought my truck in for a front end alignment the day after Christmas because it was the only place open. At first sight, a $93 alignment seemed like a red flag. I left with a quote for a $2,300 repair to replace lower ball joins, tire rods, power steering box. I took it to a different (trusted) mechanic and all it needed was an adjustment to the power steering box and everything else was good and tight. I came here for the good reviews, don't make the same mistake. Get a second opinion somewhere else if they try to tell you that you need a bunch of stuff. They showed me a video that made it look like the lower ball joints were loose but they were just moving the suspension. I had replaced the lower ball joints just a couple years prior and when I checked them after I left Spencer's, they were tight, the boots were good. I was lied to and glad I didn't spend any money there. If you're in this area, go to Bobby Gentry's in denton. I'm not saying they're bad mechanics, I believe they will fix what they say they will, but a lot of stuff they're trying to sell you might be completely unnecessary. Don't be fooled by the guy at the front either, he's nice and will make conversation to gain your trust.

On the surface, Spencer's might not at first appear to be the least expensive repair. If you hunt hard, you might find a lower quote, most times, somewhere over the horizon. But consider: Spencer's stands behind their work and their parts, and if they say that it is fixed, then it is fixed. They will give you a heads-up about work that they see that you're going to need in the future, and will do so without pressure. They will give you phone and text updates about the status of your service. Spencer's is a family-owned-and-run shop with overhead, which has managed to flourish in a small little town. Add in that the shop owners (Jerry and Rachel) will tell you with intelligence about your car. (And lately, their son David has also been becoming more visible.) Add in that these are not just "parts-swappers," but they have real mechanics on staff who can and will make specific adjustments to your cars. This is a real automotive repair shop, run in Krum, by Krum residents, for the benefit of everyone. They have my family's business.

Best Service in the Denton Area. I moved to Krum from Arlington 5 years ago and since then have had my car serviced here. The first time I took my car in I was just wanting belts and fluids checked before I went on a long trip. They checked it out and didn't charge me. A few months later I took my moms car in for an issue and they resolved it the same day. Over the last 5 years they have serviced both my daughters cars, my moms, my wife's and mine. Each and every time the work is done correctly and quickly. The price is always lower than I expect. Rachel who works the desk calls me by name and is super helpful. They never try to up sale me on anything. I am spoiled now and can't imagine trusting anyone else with my car.

Good local people who I trust to do thing honestly. They have excellent workmanship and follow through. They have a variety of services from basic oil changes to detailed repairs. When I first moved to Krum I didn't know they were there but was referred by a friend and feel lucky to have them looking out for my car repairs. They work hard to set up specials and help out with the community. They live and work in Krum and do a lot for the community which means a lot to me. If you want superior professional service then give them a try.
