Seems like a place which takes money from people that don't know much about cars. They insisted that at brake changing time, you need to grind down your old rotors or buy new ones. You don't, that's only needed if there is a problem with the wear on them. I already inspected mine and know that's not the case but the person on the phone insisted without ever seeing my car. I also asked for the cost of labor since I have my own replacement pads. This apparently runs around $220 since they need to spend two hours changing them. Given that it's a new car, the work here is pretty straight forward, and I can pretty much change my own pads in 2 hours. The next price I received for labor from a different place was 1/2 their cost, so clearly there is something off here.

I found Len's Automotive through AAA Washington so I knew they were vetted. Over the past eight years or so, I've had nothing but great experiences with them. When my dad -- a true automobile expert -- passed away in 2008, "Bob" stepped up and has been my car guidance counselor since! My car is always done when they tell me it will be, and they don't do any work until they discuss it with me. They recently gave my son's used vehicle a once-over and provided of lists of things that, over time, will need to be fixed or replaced. I appreciate their honesty and professionalism. They are my go-to repair shop.

This repair shop kept my Honda Accord Hatchback alive until its 20th year! I finally had to send it to the dump when the transmission blew. I decided it was no longer worthwhile to keep repairing it. Lens has given me efficient, friendly, and excellent service. They "squeezed me in" countless times when I did not have an appointment. After 20 years it was sad to say goodbye to a great car. That car raised my two kids. Thank you Lens and employees for giving "us" great service. I will be back with my new car - hopefully not too soon, though!

My wife and I recently decided to have both of our cars serviced by Len's Automotive.Angie's List helped us make the decision. Both cars were serviced in January and our expectations were met 100% by not only the CSR's up front but also by the mechanic who repaired my wife's car. Good solid work ethics combined with good communications from all involved.

I started taking my 2 Subarus to Len's Automotive last summer after reading all the positive reviews. The did quite a bit of work on both of them, things I had been putting off. They were very up front about costs, and what really needed to be done vs what I could do later. Since then I have become a regular customer. They just did a used car inspection for me and found an oil leak that is getting fixed by the dealer before I get the car. Thanks, guys!

We've brought three cars here for about two years. They are always honest, friendly, and do the work quickly. They squeezed in a used car inspection on short notice when we were in a pinch. They were recommended by a friend who has been going there for years, too. Great shop!

I've taken my care to Lens 3 times.   Each time they cost me much less than the dealer would have.

I've taken my car to Len's twice now and have been thoroughly impressed both times. They do the work efficiently and honestly, so that you're back on the road in no time. All the staff are friendly, extremely knowledgable and professional. They were even kind enough to provide me with a complimentary shuttle service to and from the shop while my car was being worked on. The next time I need anything done to my car, I will definitely go back to Len's.

I had thousands of dollars worth of work done and upon getting my car back, the radio/cd unit wasn't working properly. Naturally, it was working fine before I dropped the car off and it was broken after getting it back. Of course, b/c the work done didn't involve the radio they tried to say "oh well it was just time for that component to fail". Seemed like quite the coincidence. Being shady car people, expectedly they did NOT take responsibility for it and instead tried to push me off onto cartoys where a highschool drop out tried to sell me a $600 radio. I gave them multiple chances to make the situation right and each time was "handled" and basically told to go away. Something very similar happened the last time work was done by these guys but I just chocked it up to coincidence. Two times now....not a coincidence. These guys are crooks and I would avoid at all cost.

Had quite a bit done on my 2008 Nissan Altima, it's at that point where some of the bigger things needed to be replaced. My laundry list included new brakes, water pump, serpentine belt, battery, brake fluid flushed, power steering fluid flushed and other little odds and ends. This was the first overhaul I've had done other than oil changes through the dealership. The dealership also wanted to switch out the CV axles however I found that wasn't necessary for at least another year after talking to Kyle, my Len's Service Advisor. Brought my car in early one morning and it was finished by the end of the day. Pricing was fair and everything was listed and detailed out with break downs on cost for each item. I needed to find a repair shop on the eastside and after reading the reviews and doing some research, I'm very happy with the job they did. As a bonus they also had a courtesy shuttle, and although I only work 2 miles from where they are, it was a nice added convenience.

I've been coming to Len's for several years now.  They are honest and straight-forward as well as providing great work and service.  Not as convenient as the dealers with their shuttles, but I feel a lot more comfortable in the service and quality.

Took my '07 Mini Cooper S is last week and had a superb experience. They confirmed that they ample experience with servicing Minis and after changing the oil (only $40! b/c I brought my own oil), they carefully reviewed what I might want to consider doing over the next year. Nothing major and no fear tactics. I left thinking that this was about as close to what an 'old school' experience from the 50's may have been like. Clean shop with honest folks who appear to really know what they're doing. They will be getting my future business.

Took my '05 Audi there on recommendation from a friend.  Went to another car garage closer to my home for an oil change and a service check. Glad to went to Len's for a second opinion.  Not only did they save me over $100 on what absolutely needed to be done (head gaskets) but they told me the other recommended things from the other garage totaling almost $1k weren't necessary. Service was prompt and of very good quality.

Having recently acquired a classic VW Beetle, I do most of the work myself, but was willing to pay a professional to do some of the tedious work like replacing window seals and lubing the front end. The Wagon Shop in Kirkland had good reviews, so I called the number on their website and made an appointment. Oddly the shop at the other end of the line was Len's, I was told the Wagon Shop had closed and Len's took their customers. The next week I took the car in, with a list of things I wanted done. Initially I was told they would not be able to do about 1/2 of it, but the rest they could do. One of the requests was to replace leaky window seals. It was disappointing to drive by the shop for the first week and see the car sitting out in the weather (leaking) unmoved. After a week I talked to them on the phone. Apparently they thought they COULD do everything on the list, which seemed like good news. Another week went by - and I was getting concerned. They said the car needed a new clutch (it seemed fine to me) and a list of other expensive things not on the list I had asked them to do. I stupidly agreed. Finally after a total of FIVE weeks, I got the car back. They charged me for parts that were not on the vehicle, work that was not agreed to (some of it I told them NOT to do), and about half of what I wanted done had not been completed. They did find lots of OTHER things that they wanted to do though. What had been done was sloppy - the transmission was only 1/2 filled causing hard shifting, dirty hand marks were on the interior near where they had worked, trim installed was bent, and most unforgivable there were multiple tool marks in nearly new paint. Upon getting home, I discovered that a handful of parts were missing from the car. The passenger door panel fell off about a week later. The window winder had been reinstalled missing a part, and the spring stuck out the door panel. A good example of the interactions was when I was told the car needed an oil change. I had done it myself a week before dropping the car off, so this was not the case. In all I received three separate reasons for needing an oil change, none of them true. They couldn't figure out how to install a knob, so I told them how to do it. $200+ later, the knob is not on straight. This is the sloppiest work I have ever seen, and at a price and time premium, I will take my cars elsewhere.
