I have never written a negative review and it pains me to do so, But after my experience with them I feel compelled to safeguard my unsuspecting community against their unjust behavior. I brought my vehicle to them with a specific problem to fix..which was clear to see, But they insisted on charging me an inspection fee. My $489.00 repair turned into $5900.00 with the add-ons and they wouldn't fix my initial issue without performing the add-ons. I had another repair shop review their prescribed add-ons and they found them to be not necessary. Customer service.. I think not.

Do not trust these guys! every time I take my car in something else goes wrong a week later! I recently move to Wa and was nervous about finding a mechanic I could trust. Back home my family and friends had been taking our cars to the same place for 20 years. I saw the reviews on yelp and thought i would give them a try. I needed to have my cars 100k mile maintenance done. About a week or two after I got my car back, the engine started squeaking upon startup. I didn't think much of it because it was very faint- I figured it was a loose belt. Eventually it got bad enough that I took it in. My alternator needed replacing. I've never had major issues with this car and it is old, so I figured it was just a coincidence with the timing. Well I paid them to replace the alternator and a week later discovered my AC wasn't working. I took it back in and made my concerns known to the manager. This was the 2nd time I had gotten my car back and while I didn't accuse them of anything, I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't being taken advantage of. I had to bring the car in again to have it fixed. Turns out they hadn't finished the job of putting my alternator in- they left the air conditioner unplugged. I got my Jeep back last Friday and as I was driving home today my check engine light came on. I am done with this place. If you are considering using their business, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

Len's has been my auto service center for more than 20 years and I can say I've never had a bad experience. They service my car and also a small motor home I own. The staff is always friendly, accommodating and helpful. Mostly what I count on is their honesty and integrity. Several times they've told me I don't need some service I wondered about, and they don't over-sell or try to upsell, while at the same time thoroughly checking my vehicles' needs and informing me when it's time for a service. I think it's pretty likely that if you try Len's you'll be happy. And by the way this testimonial is freely given; I'm not getting paid and I have no relatives or friends who work there. ~ Chuck

So Len's removed my photos I posted of the crazy ridiculous prices they were trying to charge me.$300 for an oil change what the heck . My AAA guy towed me here after my battery failed on me. Lens was charging me over 1K for unnecessary work, little did they know my dad was a mechanic and he pretty much told off the guy on the phone when I called to quote him. I immediately towed my car out but still had to pay like 80 bucks for diagnostics. I figured I would write this since they deleted my photos. I had the work done on my car in October so this is kind of overdue but I hope whoever reads this finds this helpful. My car only needed the battery which I got replaced at pep boys on warranty yet as mentioned Lens was charging me over 1k for things I did not even need. If you're a woman don't go here! They are just trying to rip off dumb people who don't know jack shit about cars. I never thought I'd thank my dad for anything in my life but he's been a mechanic for over 40 years, thanks pops. Len's staff go to church, confess your sins, check your moral conscious.

Let me start with I am sad to have to leave a bad review here. I liked the people working here. I'd get a beer with them, they were cool, friendly, and seem to have good intentions... I took my car here because one day the electronic power steering went out. I no longer have a garage to work on it myself, as I now live in an apartment. I can usually hash out minor issues on my car, but I would not call myself a mechanic. With my particular car, a very common issue is the wiring harness for the power steering get dirty and corroded and need to be cleaned which requires some "minor" parts to be removed and couple connections to be cleaned out. Without my tools or a place to work I took it to Len's seeing all the good reviews. THE FIRST THING I DID when I took it to them was, I told them "the connections on the wiring harness very likely the issue", and to "please clean them first as it may be an easy fix". They very loosely quote me $100-$150 without having looked at the car, totally understandable. The next day they call and report the have not been able to find the issue, but they had a likely candidate, the control module but wanted to be "absolutely sure" it was the issue as it can be expensive to replace. This lead to asking to increase the quote just to run more diagnostics. Again, reasonable. I had, of course, assumed they had gone over the wiring harness as I had asked them to do first. Next day they call again after about 300$ of diagnostics, telling me that they had "checked everything else it could be" and the first step would be replacing the control module. The total cost quoted for the part and labor would be AT LEAST $3270 by the time I'm out the door(not to mention all money I can't even fathom from when it doesn't end up working and they start blaming other parts). Rough day! I gave it some thought, I had planned to sell this car soon, so I politely declined and decided I would take it back and find some time to clean it up and sell it off or trade it in. About 2 weeks later I am driving the same car without power steering to get through my day-to-day, when all of a sudden, the power steering comes back on. It only lasts until I turn the car off, but instantly I got suspicious of their diagnosis. Sure enough, the power steering starts to come on and off, some days on, some days off. I find my receipt from Len's, and look over the diagnostic report notes. To sum it up fast, they had basically directly supplied all the components with direct power and they had all functioned perfectly fine so therefore the thing dishing out the error code was defective. Anything in there about checking ALL the connections between these parts A.K.A. the power steering wiring harness? No. Two months of driving mostly without power steering later... I finally get the tools and opportunity to open it up myself. $10 bucks for some connection cleaner and about an hour or two of labor, I do exactly what I had told them to do in the first place, clean the wiring harness connections. YOU GUESSED IT, my power steering works perfectly fine now. Now I'm not sure if I'm more annoyed that I paid them $300 to ignore me, or that the first conclusion they jumped to, happened to also be the most expensive job quote I have ever received on a car in 10 years of driving(and I used to drive a classic Mercedes sports car).

Nice friendly service and promoted reply with everything. They are doing construction at the front so it is a little confusing to get around. We work around the area and they even offered free Uber which is nice. Will come back again if there is any problems with my car. Thank you for taking customers serious as I notice most business here don't care.

I absolutely do not recommend Len's Automotive. I had my car towed to Len's, pretty certain I needed a new starter. Once they received my car they call and told me that they would need to run a $200 diagnostics test, making it seem like it was not optional. They called me the next morning and told me that it would be $900 and that my brakes were a major concern and estimated an additional $1000 for my brakes. I asked them about the price of the starter and they said it would be $350 for the actual part and the rest would be labor, the diagnostic test, shop supplies, and tax. After calling around, I found out that this is one of the only shops that does not wave the diagnostics costs, if you get it fixed there. So basically, I was stuck since my car was already there. Other places quoted my $270 less, but because my car was already there and they had already run the diagnostics test, I wouldn't have saved money moving it, because of the cost of the tow. After telling my friend about the situation, he called and Chris at Len's told him that if I had refused the diagnostics test at the beginning, then they would have had to figure out what was wrong with my car anyways, but because they already did the work, the could not wave the $200 for diagnostics. Being a woman, I feel like I was extremely taken advantage of by this business. My friend even called a mechanic that he goes to and he estimated $295 for a brand new starter AND labor (before taxes). When I picked up my car and paid, I looked at the invoice for the labor and they were unable to answer my question of how many hours they spent on my car. I will never return to Len's and would highly discourage others from taking their cars there.

These guys are very honest and helpful. I'm usually pretty skeptical when it comes to Automotive shops the guys at but Len's have always been very straightforward with me. I'll be coming back here for a long time.

This place is on top of things. Extremely reliable, organized, and friendly. They took very good care of our Subaru when we lived in Washington state. We appreciate the honesty, reminders, and coupons. I've actually never seen a mechanic take such great lengths to offer emails with such good savings in them! Thank you for your excellent service and friendly customer service.

Long story, short, I went here for about $400 in work and walked out with a $2200 bill. I was in a hurry and didn't want to shop around based on price, but after the fact did call the dealer to price one component of the repair and discovered the Len's price was about $175 higher then the dealer on that component. Finding this out was a great disappointment because I was very much looking for a new shop to love to service my 3 vehicles. Don't get me wrong, I did trust what they were saying and chose to do what was effectively "optional" maintenance work, but no independent shop should be charging more then the dealer for the same work. Was also disappointed that they would not waive the hour of shop time for "diagnosis" when I agreed to perform the more extensive work, as other shops do in my experience. Other then that, I do think the people there were professional, and I believe trustworthy, but the concerns on value ultimately carried the day.

This is a great shop with a family vibe. Got a free oil change today and they left two boxes of valentine hearts on my dash. Such a small thing but it was huge to me. Very happy we've found them!

It saddens me to write a negative review for Lens Automotive. All my previous yelp reviews and positive as I feel a good job needs to be recognized. In this case, I was taken advantage of and in hoping it doesn't happen to anyone else. Last week my car was overheating and in a pinch I dropped my car off at the shop. It came highly recommended by my dad who has had his cars services there as well. (I should have stuck with my regular service shop The Price Brothers Garage in totem lake) After a look they came to the conclusion that it was my Radiator and hose among a few other things. They serviced the car and when they told me the price I was shocked but figured I trusted them and said ok. I felt uneasy about the amount all weekend and decided to call around to two other places To get a second opinion on the price. The two other shops would have charged me almost HALF of what this place charged me. When I looked at my receipt they charged me for things I didn't even authorize. $50 for a headlight change?! I had a headlight in my trunk that I purchased for $12 on my own that my husband was going to install for me- I just haven't had a chance yet. Bottom line is they took advantage of me. I gave them 1 stars because they do know what they're doing but have no morals or ethics. Maybe it's easy for them to do in Bellevue. Go here if you want to be ripped off. I won't be back and I will make sure my friends and family avoid this place in the future.
