Great shop to take your vehicle too. Highly recommend. They were very professional, even had a shuttle service. After my car was finished they had a very detailed (with photos) sheet of recommended services that actually needed to be addressed. Thank you!

I recently needed a repair done and took my car to Rizzoli’s. I was impressed by the friendly and helpful staff and their professionalism . I greatly appreciated that they inspected my car and pointed out various services that had not been performed in a timely manner that needed attention. In addition, the repair took a day longer than expected and they were kind enough to supply me with a rental car. Thank you!

Rizzoli's is my permanent 'go to' automotive repair choice. I began with the SLO staff and after moving to Grover Beach, I switched to that location since it is closer to home.Recently, I needed new windshield wipers, which were ordered and ready for my car two days later. When I drove to the shop, I ran over a large metal piece in the roadkills which I didn't see until too late. A couple of hours later, I had new windshield wipers plus two new front tires from a tire shop close by.Luis and Stephanie have provided outstanding service as well as major support when the tire needed replacement. At 80, I don't process as quickly as I used to; they have been very helpful in solving my issues; Both are very knowledgeable and I'm happy to see a female there.Thanks for continuing to provide such outstanding service from friendly staff.Susan CrossonArroyo Grande

Excellent service. They thoroughly investigated my car’s engine problem. They identified the problem and provided a reasonable estimate to repair the issue. Baste on my experience, I would highly recommend them.

My 1984 Porsche (owned since new) needed a new battery. Installing this battery can be difficult since the space is very small and the battery weighs almost 50lbs. I called several automotive repair stores in Santa Maria - all of whom declined to install the battery. I contacted the Interstate Battery store in Santa Maria who supplied the battery and asked for a recommendation. They recommended Rizzoli's. I called and spoke with Randy and he said they would be happy to install the battery. When I showed up for appointment, Randy was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what was involved in the installation. The Shop (office, garage and waiting area) was clean, organized, well decorated and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The waiting area was well furnished and comfortable. I could have been in the Service Area of one of the luxury new car dealers in Santa Marian or Santa Barbara. I can't recommend Rizzoli's highly enough. It is great to know that a locally owned auto repair shop of this caliber still exists. I will definitely go back in the future.

Go elsewhere!This place was trying to find sooo many things wrong with my car and gave such a hug estimate to fix it I could've spent that much on a new car! They may have a guarantee of their parts but the prices are *not* worth it! 😡

Such a great place! Really can’t say enough of the staff and the Honesty they share. We feel so comfortable with them, and know they will continue to keep our vehicles safe. Not to mention, they have been around the area for a long time, and we’re so excited when they came to Morro Bay. We are local and have lived in SLO all our lives and are familiar with some of The Rizzoli’s ! Great Family!! Again, Thank you for always being there for us and appreciate everything you do. Despite the change of the break rotors, the squeaky noise is still there and the back noice came back after two days. Considering the price range difference compared to other local shops, I was a little disappointed but the customer service is outstanding.

Ever accommodating and helpful. They make you feel welcome and familiarize themselves with your needs and schedule which they work with while getting tbe work done professionally and on time. The experience is positive and comfortable , their staff friendly and always supportive.

Update: I brought my car back to Rizzoli's after having some issues following service. Their customer service was excellent. I was impressed by how quickly they addressed the issue, honored their service guarantee, and fixed the problem.I typically only write positive reviews, but I feel I should share my experience, both good an bad....1. Their prices are at least 30% higher than what anyone else in town is charging. I had a quote of around $1000 by 2 mechanics for a drive shaft needing replacement. Since I was bringing my car in to Rizzoli's anyway, thought I'd get their estimate. Quoted me $2353.When I asked why so much, they said the labor is only $500, but they use a "genuine toyota part that costs $1700". A quick call to the Toyota service dept proved this to not be true. Toyota estimated this same job would be "around $1000" (ballpark, since they didn't see the vehicle). I feel that Rizolli's might have inflated the cost of parts quite a bit in this case.2. I brought my car in for a coolant flush. They started the servce, but couldn't finish because there was a hairline fracture in my radiator. I was told I needed to replace the radiotor first before they could do the service. When I picked the car up, the coolant reservoir was empty. When I pointed this out, they filled it for me, but with a different color coolant than my truck usually takes. After driving the car for 5 days, I smelled a burning smell. After further inspection, it turns out my car was returned back to me without coolant in the radiator either. Not good.Long story short, this mishap could have been very damaging for my vehicle. I was not a happy customer. However I was really pleased that they were so understanding when I brought my vehicle back in. They made good on the mistake, went above and beyond to make sure there was no further damage.And the vehicle is now running great.I think these are really nice guys, with a good reputation, and a clean location and courteous staff.My advice is to read your estimate in detail. They do charge more than other mechanics, but they will make sure that your car was serviced to your satisfaction.

During a routine inspection it was brought to my attention that I needed immediate on the Lower control arm bushings. While it is probably my ignorance, I was confused how this problem popped up to the point it needed immediate attention when I have brought my car in routinely and it was never mentioned on any previous inspection to my recollection. Having to pay for such an expensive repair with no warning was disheartening. Plus, I get a discount offer the same day I get my car back and no discount for the coupon sent or my AAA membership were added. I still appreciate the service, the rental, and the Uber rides. My disappointment was with the repair disclosure and process.

It wasn’t made clear to me when I dropped my car off how much I was going to be charged. When I picked up my car, they charged me $400 to replace my spark plugs! I had them only replaced a few months ago at a different automotive shop in SLO and was only charged $120! So they overcharged me $400 for a service that wasn’t even needed!!!

They were able to smog my 3500 sprinter van, the same day, they were courteous, efficient, and the cost of repair was lower than any other shop in San Luis Obispo. I will be bringing my unity LTV to them for all future services. Great job in Rizzoli’s‘s!

I typically only write positive reviews, but I feel I should share my experience, both good an bad. Yeah, it's a long one...1. I never spoke with a mechanic. Everything gets relayed through their very kind and friendly front desk guy. They are lucky to have him because he can put a "good spin" on anything.2. They charge $165 just to look at your car (not sure they actually looked at it. I'm under the impression they just ran a CarFax report on it per the front desk guy).3. Their prices are at least 30% highter than what anyone else in town is charging. I had a quote of around $1000 by 2 mechanics for a drive shaft needing replacement. Since I was bringing my car in to Rizzoli's anyway, thought I'd get their estimate. Toyota estimated this same job would be "around $1000" (ballpark, since they didn't see the vehicle). Upselling the cost of parts is one way Rizzoli's up-charges.4. I asked about getting some plug in new headlights (easy peasy other than 2 wires that needed to be spliced. I already took the grill off and inspected them myself). They quoted over $700 just for the install. Ha! (more than the cost of the headlights)5. Also quoted over $700 to change front brake pads and rotors. Wow. Really pushing it here.6. I asked about a possible leak, and they said it would be an additional $150 just to 'pressure wash' the area before they could even look at it (that's on top of the $165 I already paid for them to inspect the car for any necessary work).6. My favorite was when they could not do my coolant flush because there was a hairline fracture in my radiator, and I was told I needed to replace the radiotor first before they could do the service. Their carismatic front desk guy said they "started the job", so they would "goodwill it to me and take it off the bill". When I asked what that meant, he said they added conditioner to my coolant, so they "kind of already did the job". When they gave the car back to me, I asked to see the hairline crack in the radiator, and noticed that they left my coolant EMPTY. Seems like a faster way for me to need my radiator replaced. Not only did they not do the service, they returned my car to me with empty coolant. Apparently they don't pay much attention to detail.Makes me question whether they actually did the other services I paid for.7. Just a transmission flush, differential fluid change, and power steering fluid change cost me $784 (and that's with an $81 discount). Yeah, I feel like a sucker, don't rub it in.They charged $426 in PARTS for fluid changes (PARTS! not including the labor. Again, hiding upcharge in 'parts').8. Oh, my other favorite moment is when the front desk guy so gracially said "we'll still honor the discount", as if he was doing me a favor. The discount was '15% off of labor up to $100', which was offered by their manager in an email after my first visit, as an attempt to get me to schedule a service. Umm, why would you not honor it, I just dropped $783 on said service.I think these are really nice guys, with a good reputation, and a clean location and courteous staff. But this experience made me feel ripped off and swindled, and I'm still not even certain they did the work they said they did.I never even spoke to or saw a mechanic. Just lots of interaction with a really nice guy who was being fed the wrong information by the guys actually doing the work.Sorry for the not-5-star review-- but I wanted to warn others about the blatant overcharging, mediocre work, and hidden fees/upcharging before going there. Read your estimate in detail.

Did a bad job at replacing my transmission fluid, already brown in less than 1 year/10k miles. Bet they just turkey basted it. Also they will continue to send spam mail after your service. Pretty expensive estimates for future service, I was able to get cheaper quotes in an expensive part of the Bay Area.

Courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, accommodating. These are just a few of the words which describe the personalities of the personnel at Rizzoli's Automotive. I could go on and on about the positive nature of this business, but since this is a survey method, I will try to be as concise with my praise. My visit to this establishment was for the purpose of obtaining a smog check. They were able to fit me in to their schedule immediately and I was impressed. I can certainly understand why this particular business has been so successful over the years. They certainly know how to provide the customer with quality service in every respect. I recommend this shop to anyone for their ultimate automotive needs, whatever type of vehicle they currently own. You will be pleased!
