These shops do great work. However, they have a policy of only using OEM parts which can make some repairs quite costly. They do keep an eye out for many maintenance activities not specifically detailed in owners manuals.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance, General repairs & maintenance
The experience was great! I was in and out in a single day. Their inspection and vehicle health reporting was fantastic with clear descriptions of what was wrong, pictures, and even videos. During the check in call they explained everything in the report clearly, what options I had for what to handle immediately vs. what can wait and possible impacts. They really kept cost in mind to help me find the right level of service for my budget and immediate needs. I was recently referred to Rizzoli from a colleague. I had a very positive experience with their team. Rizzoli's is not the most college student-friendly place to go. They tried to tell me that I needed to pay about $3000 in fixing other parts that I didn't go in for. I simply needed a quote on an engine shield and then told me I needed to draw immediate attention to getting my windshield wipers replaced...which I don't. Additionally, they took a picture of a "crack" in my perfectly fine belt and told me I needed to get that fixed as well, when they didn't even look in the right place for wear on the belt. There were many other things that they told me I needed to fix immediately, which I didn't. On top of all this, they charged me about $80 just to look at my car and give me an estimate... for what?? It made no sense to me and I absolutely felt as though I was up charged.
Their customer service was great, but Rizzoli's was just not a match for me and my car.

My service advisor, Steve, provided a thorough explanation of all service provided and was highly communicative from the time I dropped my car off, until I picked it up. Did a great job - Rizzoli's found a leak problem that contaminated my right rear brakes and fixed it and installed new brakes in a day and a half, and then had the car ready in time for me to haul my tent trailer on a planned trip.

Took our Volvo in for 40K mile service and were very pleased. Price was a lot less than the dealer, of course, but they also seemed honest and didn't try to up-sell us for any extras. Time for the 50K service and we're going back to them. Employees were nice, they have a comfortable waiting room and they're dog friendly.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. We have taken our car to a lot of different places. They are honest and kind, and always do an excellent job. The car is always so clean when I pick it up. If anything comes up during the few months after we have had service, they say to come on in and they check it out. I feel safe knowing that I am such good care with this business. Thank you to all the employees there especially Steve, and the sweet lady who does all the detail work and gives you a ride home if you need it.
They always do a great job!!! They fit me in when I need something taken care of last minute and I forgot to call ahead of time. They get my car done in a very timely manner. They provide shuttle service to my job when dropping off my car before work, and when my car is done. I love that I can do this. My car gets service done while I'm at work and don't have to wait around. Their facility is very neat and clean. Love the remodel!
So pleased I found Rizzoli's! I have family that have taken their cars here and raved about great service and reasonable pricing. Was enough to convince me to call up to make an appointment. Spoke with Kyle who took care of me, all with a smile in his voice. I go by "feel" and "intuition" and just KNEW the moment I walked in and met Kyle, I would get fair, honest service. Kyle even followed up with a text the next day to make sure all was satisfactory, they stand behind their work 110%. Also the whole place is spotless...all with cookies no less! I'm a new fan and found my local auto shop...happy dance!
Rizzoli's takes the stress out of my car maintenance. They are fast, convenient and trustworthy. I rely on them for advice about whether maintenance activities are necessary or discretionary and I find their input helpful and objective. I recommend Rizzoli's without reservation.
We had a great experience at Rizzoli's. Everything was completely transparent, I always felt like I knew exactly what I was paying for. And the people I spoke to were completely upfront about what was essential work vs what was not so crucial, going into as much detail as I wanted for each job. Plus they picked me up and dropped me off three different times during the day that our car was being worked on, and my drivers were each courteous and very safe drivers (no speeding, not cutting off other drivers, no yelling at other drivers when they were cut off, etc.). All in all great. I've been going here for years and I intend to keep going.
I'm not one to normally write reviews however the past few experiences I have had with Rizzoli's have left me feeling like I should warn people about what has happened each of the times I have visited this auto repair shop.Let me first say, most of these reviews are very accurate. Rizzoli's has great customer service and they do make you feel like family when walking through their door. In my past experience, however, a few hours after I would drop my car off each time, I would always receive a call letting me know that they found a few minor things they wanted to fix in addition to what I brought my car in for. The first two times, I trusted them. I took my car in for an oil change, should've been 40$ or so, and they called to tell me some of my filters should be replaced and some fluids should be changed. I agreed to get the additional work done and it ended up costing around 400$ out the door. The next time I came in since my car was sometimes having issues starting. They performed an inspection (cost 150$) and told me I needed to get a new starter motor for around 650$ or so. I ended up passing on the motor cause I called up a different shop to get a quote and they quoted me at 320$. The final straw that caused me to write this review was that my girlfriend just went in to get her car smogged and she ended up agreeing to an oil change while she was at it. A few hours later, her phone rang and they rattled off 4 or 5 things that they recommended she replace the fluid in. They gave her a revised quote of 750$.Overall Rizzoli's hasn't done anything egregious and they don't pressure you into getting the expensive repairs they recommend. However most of us who don't know much about cars blindly trust and listen to mechanics when they make recommendations. I think one should simply be warned that if you are going in for a routine maintenance or check up, there's a good chance that the bill for the recommended actions will quadruple in size. And if you do question the price of something, don't be afraid to call up a competing auto repair store to make sure the quoted price is within the ball-park of the going rate. Overall I see why people love Rizzoli's, however due to the my past few experiences they have lost me as a customer.
The team at Rizzoli's is great. I lived in SLO for about 8 years before I found them. In the past, I tried a lot of different places and always felt on edge when bringing my car in for service. I never felt sure other places were giving me the true cost of the service or if they were going to finish working on the car in the promised time. At Rizzoli's I don't worry at all. They do a great job, communicate everything very clearly and are friendly on top of it. I feel comfortable asking any questions I have and trust that I will get an easy to understand and honest answer. Their comfortable waiting area and quick shuttle services are just extra perks. I feel really good about brining my car to them.
I have recently started bringing my car to Rizzoli’s after having less than positive experiences at Coast BMW. Both times I have had service performed at Rizzoli’s have been excellent experiences. The staff is super friendly, the work was finished before the time promised and the shuttle service was prompt in taking me and picking me up. They also sent me a coupon that saved me $75. I will definitely be bringing my car back for any future service.
