I visited Combs twice this month. The first visit was for inspection and emissions, and the second visit was for new tires. They are always thorough, professional, and honest. I am a customer of many years!

Our car had an issue on I44 & Big Bend. Red light appeared car overheating etc. Took car to them Steve was backed up because of weather. Had to rent car non avilable he called around and got us one .Steve had emplyee take us. Found out that we needed a thomastat they replaced and on futher reveiw the last place that did an oil change didnt have the oil filter on correctly. It was leaking . Combs I would recommend to anyone. My 2001 Toyota Sienna is like brand new. I am very happy with the services and repaired. I have to say, it’s not everyday I run into an honest company. As of now they are maintaining both of my vehicles, thank you Combs.

I take all of my vehicles here for service work. The guys are awesome and really take the time to know you. They also make sure you understand what is going on with your car and offer solutions to repair it. They do not repair anything that is not needed and ask about things they find.

I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have stumbled upon Combs Auto when I did. While on a cross country trip from SC to MT my truck started making noise the second morning after staying in Kirkwood. I happened to see Combs next to my hotel and they really saved my whole trip. Patrick and the team were so sympathetic to my situation, they diagnosed the problem right away, got parts in, and fixed the issue in a matter of a few hours! The fast action and response to help was incredible and they did not take advantage of the pickle I was in and raise the price! These guys have so much integrity, if I lived anywhere in the area I would go to them for everything vehicle related. Amazing business!

If you need diagnostics or repair, GO HERE.The most honest and reliable shop, possibly business in general, I've ever dealt with. These guys are GOOD at their work! They are also priced extremely well. If you find someone cheaper for the same work, be skeptical about the quality you'll get.Only problem about Combs is they're so good, once anyone experiences what an honest and reliable shop they are, they never go anywhere else, and that means they're busy. You need to get an appointment, but they are worth the wait.They are also AWESOME about understanding when issues are more of an emergency and will often try extremely hard to work you in for those.Have been using Combs for around 10 years or more. The guys are incredibly friendly. I've never, ever seen them do the, "She's just a woman, have her get her husband to talk to us," type b.s. so many shops do. My wife is always comfortable talking to them and they absolutely treat her the same as anyone else.They do get when you don't know a lot about cars though, and they'll explain what's going on in an understandable way without any condescension or the awfulness that so many shops do.They'll also tell you when something isn't the type of repair they're the best at, and will give good recommendations for alternatives. If Combs is reluctant to do something, believe them and go to who they tell you is the appropriate expert, because these guys are phenomenal at most everything.I honestly could gush on about this shop for much longer, but my best proof of how much I trust them is the fact that this is where I'll send my daughters (sons if I had any) and any family or friends for any of their car needs.

If you are looking for a place to take care of your car, this place is the best! Have bought multiple sets of tires here for various vehicles. They include free tire rotation with your purchase. Was taking my Honda to the Honda dealers for service, but after several bad experiences, I have switched all my routine maintenance to Combs. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Waiting rooms are very nice. Also, I love that they send me a text asking how everything is going. Upon receiving text, I check to see if it's time for maintenance, and it usually is! Very helpful 😉

My Chevy Tahoe air conditioning stopped working this spring. Spent thousands at Zisser --- only for the air-conditioning to stop working again. I presume all the other work they did was fine. The AC was a small percentage of the overall repairs -- but the one that most impacted my driving experience. Turned out Zisser missed that the line under the car had a hole -- Combs spliced the line for me and got my AC actually working again. They also provided me a ride to and from the shop. Thank you!

I took my car in because dash lights coded as a fuel injector problem. They thought it might actually be the serpentine belt. They were very careful to explain the cost to me. Anyway, it took some time from both of us to get the work completed. So far, so good. No lights are on and it is running fine.

Although Combs Automotive has performed extensive service on all 3 autos that I own. This particular visit was for an Emission exam which was provided quickly and sent to the State for acceptance. When I got to my office it was already accepted by Mo. Many thanks Scott, John and Patrick and the crew!As always, you'all are the very best!!James.

I went to them once while living in Kirkwood and went back even though I had moved and it has been out of my way! Easy to schedule with, they’re very friendly, and can’t beat the prices. They needed to order a new part for me that would take time some time to get shipped but they have been so generous in making sure I get penciled in when it arrives so I don’t have to be bogged down by oncoming appointments.

Combs Auto Service was fantastic. I was in town from Ohio for a soccer tournament and when driving to our first game the service charging system warning came on. I stopped by a parts store after dropping my daughter off at her game. They tested the battery and said the alternator was bad. With my battery voltage dropping I quickly found the closest repair shop and it was Combs. I dropped in about 1245p and the staff was attentive and seemed to recognize my situation right away. They then gave me a cold water and said they could help me. I thought I was just going to wait there in the lobby and miss my daughter’s game but no they said you can’t miss your daughter’s game and gave me a ride to the field in time for me to watch the entire game. They called me just when the game was over and told me my car was ready! Wow what service, what could have turned into a real difficult day missing a soccer game, calling a tow truck and possibly stranded on the interstate turned in a great soccer day. Combs repaired my car fast and before 430p that day. We then drove all the way back to Ohio with no issues. Thank you Combs and team for fantastic service and workmanship. My family and I truly appreciate it!

I have had nothing but great service from Comb's over the years. They are professional, timely and the one time they have made a minor mistake, they owned it and corrected it.

Incredibly honest and kind people. I drive a Honda Accord and had my AC condenser break, I took into for them to fix and while it was in the shop they realized the part was on recall for frequent breakage and I could get it fixed for free at Honda. They called me and told me all of this saving me about $1000 or so. Mind you this is after I have taken it to another place to get looked at who wanted to fix it on the spot and never told me it was on recall. Incredibly honest and good people work here and I can't recommend it enough.

This crew is the greatest! You might wish they were open on weekends, BUT when you realize their business model includes paying their mechanics a fair rate (not on commission) and giving their staff a proper weekend allows them to be the most honest, hardworking team you'll ever meet...you'll see how its SO worth it to schedule your vehicles work with Combs.

We have been taking all our vehicles to Combs for over 30 years. We have never been disappointed. Great service, never tried to sell us something we didn’t need. They checked the kids vehicles out before they hit the road to make sure they were safe. They have always been friendly even when I had to come with the grandkids and dog. I highly recommend them for all your service needs.

Very Disappointed and angry. I have been taking my car to Combs for the last 6 or so years and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had, and I will never be back. I took my car in for the heat not working in my Jeep. They diagnostic it and said it was a bad heater core and they could get me back in a few days. It did take way longer than it should have to get fixed as they had techs call off and could not keep working on my car the second day. Then it seemed to me at least that they rushed putting the car back together on the third day sensors not being plugged that delayed me picking up my car. When I get the call, my Jeep is ready I get in and see the car is a complete mess, air bag light on, and after market interior lights were broken and my steering wheel controls for my radio not working how they did. I go back in and ask about the air bag light as this was not on when I dropped it off. They tell me right away it was damaged by your lights and were going to charge me to fix it. I ended up calling Scott the next day he said he would get the air bag seat sensor fixed along with my power wire for my lights, and they also would look at the radio for no charge. I take it back in when the part arrived for the seat and they call and tell me car is ready except that now another part is broken the passages seat belt clicker, along with they have no idea how to fix my radio. When they called about the radio this is when I realized they don’t have any diagnostic skills at Combs. I had a plug and play harness that came with my radio and instead of looking at the harness they are playing with the radio settings to get the boutons to work. Scott offered for me to take it to dealer or audio shop, and they would cover, I have yet to take it in. I then take it back for the seat belt clicker and they are still not able to get the light to go away. Combs calls me and says they have no idea how to fix we have already spent $500 to fix for free and we feel this is not all our problem. Once again, I dropped my car off for a heat issue and now have to pay money out of my pocket for an issue, I did not have prior to the heater core being damaged and take to the dealer as they have no idea. In summary I feel Combs has gone down hill they have sloppy technicians that are only part swappers, and no respect of customers cars, and lack diagnostic skills. I will not be takeing my car again and my family will not either.
