Brakes were acting oddly. Took to installer and another garage and they couldn't find. Combs found the problem and fixed quickly. The brakes work well and feel correct. Will return next time I have a problem.
I never worry about having Combs do work on my car. They are professional, courteous, and get the job done. This is car #4 with them and I won’t go anywhere else.
Love this auto shop! They are very family focused. They do excellent work. It may be a little pricey but fair and worth the peace of mind. Love them!

I was given a quote for new tires for my SUV. My appointment was for a two hour time slot which was met like clock work. The tires are great, also got an alignment. Scott checked with me several days following the installation to make sure everything was ok. Could not be happier with the job and the customer service.
We use Combs all of the time. They did an oil change and determined why our Jeep was making a clunking noise. They do top quality work and they recommended a another service provider to fix the clunk.
They were able to get my husbands truck in and worked on within two days! They sent us pictures of the damaged part and told us the price to fix it before doing any work. They are very professional!
I dropped my car off at 8:30, they got an oil change and a windshield replacement done really quickly, and I couldn't be any happier with the work they did. Absolutely friendly people that work there everytime I go in, this is my second time using Combs, and they are now my go to for care of my car.
My family has been coming here for generations. An honest repair shop with friendly staff. They are straightforward and will let you know what must be fixed, and what repairs you may be able to put off a little while.A few years back I dropped my car off at a competitor for my required inspections and emissions because it was right across from where I work. They told me I needed all kinds of repairs (I've since heard from others that this competing shop tends to target women for unnecessary repairs). A week later I dropped it at Combs, and my car passed with flying colors. I even asked Combs to double check the things that the competitor said needed fixing and they confirmed everything was just fine.Combs is always busy, but I have never had a problem getting in to have my car looked at or worked on. The staff is always super friendly and the communication they give regarding drop off, pick up, and repairs is always stellar.
I replaced 4 tires. Very good, fast, accommodating and courteous service. Their service is always top notch. the Combs possess a "business acumen"!The only issue is that my black rims are scratched up and I have to fix them; luckily I have a warranty that covers that, otherwise it would not be a cheap fix.
I've been going to Combs for over 20 years. I send my 83- year old mother to Combs. I JUST watched Scott, the owner, tell a guy he did not need to tires on his truck yet. I guarantee that guy will come back when he does. How many automotive shops can you trust like that? Like I said, I send my 83-year old mother there. These are honest, hard working folks, worthy of your money. Please give them your business. They will earn it.
We take all of our vehicles to Combs for service (several). They are competent and will get to the root of the problem if your car isn't working right. They are honest and communicate quickly and don't try and sell services that are not necessary when you bring it in. I appreciate the time and energy that they spent fixing one of our cars on our most recent visit and highly recommend this business for any car repair, maintenance, etc. They stand behind their work, I appreciate that.

As usual, I received prompt, friendly and excellent service from the team at Combs.
Replaced AC compressor and serpentine belt 1396.00 then tells me AC not working and would need to investigate more $$$. I said no..I then checked fuse and guess what that was it AC runs like a dream
They did great on my jeep and they do so much research and have so much information to give. Great service.
Drop car off, as requested all new tires in alignment cheaper than the estimate. These guys are the greatest!
Staff very helpful but my air-conditioning was not fixed and when I asked them about it he said it would be an additional 200$ which when I received bid it was 1800$ and the air conditioner was part of the bid
If you are looking for an Auto Repair/Tire Center with integrity and customer service this is the place. Been to a lot of them and none better than Combs.

The best. As Kirkwood is littered with repair places. Nothing compares. Not only in Kirkwood, but all of the St. Louis city and county area. These guys are the real deal.
My daughter's tire was sliced after driving over a bottle. Combs was able to squeeze her in, determined the tire was not fixable, get her a new tire and get her back on the road very quickly, with reasonable cost and friendly service!

I had my vehicle towed the night before to combs Automotive. I called them in the morning to let them know that I had a important appointment the day after him and that I needed my vehicle back as quick as possible. They called me by 2 o’clock and said my vehicle was ready and finished. They worked efficiently and quickly to accommodate my schedule excellent customer service friendly body shop I would recommend using them for anything automotive related. Positive: QualityCombs gave me the best experience I’ve ever had at an auto repair shop. Not only were they personable, welcoming, and informative, they were also honest with their work and talked through everything with me. I had 3 separate problems on my vehicle (a wheel mishap from taking it to a cheap tire shop, EGR valve insufficient flow code, and my catalytic converter was stolen). They fixed two of the issues (EGR and tire) quick and easy, ensuring I knew exactly what was needed and how much it would cost. Knowing I had financial limitations as a college student, Patrick at Combs told me what price they could potentially replace my catalytic converter for, but suggested another shop that would likely be able to weld and replace it for me cheaper. I so much appreciated their honesty and consideration for my budget. They did amazing work, and what could have been an extremely stressful event turned into finding my new go-to auto shop!They also picked me up so that I was able to get my car without waiting on a friend to be available to drive me! I've used Combs since I moved to St. Louis several years ago based on positive neighborhood word of mouth. Always friendly, helpful, and exceptionally honest.I've got an older Honda and usually go for oil changes, new tires, and general maintenance that comes up (exhaust). I've been to other places who wanted to sell me an air filter for $50... something that takes less than a minute and about $10 to replace. In the past I have been "duped" by other car repair places into unnecessary repairs! I am so relieved to have found Combs! They are trustworthy with my cars and honest. They listen to me/ explain what my car needs and then do it at a fair price. They are also very kind and respectful. They do not take my business for granted. I was amazed that Scott would follow up with me after taking my car in. They are a prime example of how to do business and retain customers. I had damaged my side view mirror and it needed to be replaced. They called several places to see if they could find a used one but had no luck. I trust Combs completely and I always feel like they don’t take advantage. I feel very fortunate to have a repair shop I trust
I have been taking my rides to Combs for over two decades. I really can't say enough good about this shop and all the folks that work there.This is a second generation family business and you will find Scott Combs (son of Bill Combs) in there most days.These folks are fast, in spite of always being busy. They are beyond fair and honest. I routinely take a vehicle up there with a long laundry list of things to check over and often they tell me "No, you are good to go, everything checks out."They have always been kind and gracious in working with me to keep my vehicle on the road when times were lean.If you take your car to Combs you aren't taking it to a shop, you are taking it to people, Scott, Patrick, John, and a great group of mechanics, and they mean to make it right. It's personal for these folks.I wont take my ride anywhere else.
I have the utmost trust and faith in Combs! Unlike many other automotive repair shops that I have had experience with over the last many years I have never and I want to reiterate never belt that Combs wasCharging me unfairly or upselling me something that I didn't need to have done to my vehicle.
