Amazing service and very reasonable pricing! I'm a young lady who's very unfamiliar with cars and I've unfortunately had negative experiences with other places. Here, you'll get a thorough and straightforward explanation of the issue and the process and pricing of your repair, with no unnecessary additions, flairs, or BS. Everyone I interacted with at the shop or on the phone was very friendly and accommodating. They got my heating issue fixed in a jiffy, just in time for winter :) Can't recommend this place enough; I'll definitely be back for any car issue I end up having.

These guys are more than the absolute best! They are honest, friendly, very personal & caring of their customers and their needs. They did an awesome job replacing my transmission and even worked tremendously with me on my budget to get it done. My family and I are so so grateful for all support they’ve shown during our time of need. They even text to check on you a few days after the job is finished. I think that’s quite awesome. One of the best places in town to get your vehicle serviced. Honest and reliable. You won't bring your vehicle in for an oil change and then have them come back telling you about $8000 worth of other crap they recommend you get like the shops at the local Jeep dealers all do. If you need it, they'll tell you. Not just try to gouge you for more work. I recommend these guys to everyone.
Staff very helpful but my air-conditioning was not fixed and when I asked them about it he said it would be an additional 200$ which when I received bid it was 1800$ and the air conditioner was part of the bidServices: Air conditioning, Engine repair

The level of service and professionalism at Combs is second to none. I have been a customer since 1996. The same great technicians have been taking care of the cars while Scott and the guys up front take care of business.Straight answers, great memorabilia and a cool fish tank make Combs worth a visit.
I only take my car to Combs! As a single woman I appreciate their professionalism and honesty. And you can’t beat their fees! I used to take my VW Beetle to the dealer for oil changes, until they priced themselves right out of my budget! So I tried Combs; great service, great prices, on time, and so very helpful!! You can’t go wrong at Combs!
We have been customers at Combs since 1987. I recommend that anyone who needs tires, batteries, etc. use them. If they can't fix your problem, they will send you to someone who can. We have several "historic" vehicles which require special parts (oil, oil filters, etc.). We give them the parts and they install with no questions asked. Their employees treat you as part of their "family". That attitude is rare in today's world.
I had to tow our car to Combs because it wouldn't start. They checked examined the car electrical system & found that the only problem was a weak battery. We approved them to replace the battery with a new Delco battery & also replace worn wiper blade. They also reset the radio code so it would operate and had all work done in half a day. We used their excellent Covid delivery service to return the car to our home. Again,Combs' service was outstanding.
My daughter hit a curb and was also complaining about her blower not working for heating and air conditioning. They were able to replace her tire, wheel, and fix the blower in a very timely manner and for a very fair price. Great communication and very friendly. I will definitely be using them again.
I've been going to Combs for something like 25 years. They have always done a great job. With dozens of visits for multiple cars over all those years, we've never had to return because Combs didn't do a good job.They have always been both friendly and professional. They have communicated clearly, met their stated deadlines, and have even gone out of their way to assist in urgent situations.During a time when money was tight, they helped prioritize work - telling me what had to be done right away, what could safely wait without causing further damage, and even what didn't really need to be done at all if i was willing to live with the annoyance. A couple other time I've gone in thinking I might need a new tire or certain work done, only to be told that the work I expected wasn't necessary at all.There may have been times when I could have had work done a bit cheaper elsewhere, but never with the level of confidence that the work would be done right, and that I wouldn't be back. Saving a bit on the front, only to have pay more later isn't a savings.I don't think there is another business in St. Louis that I've recommended to more friends than Combs.
Everyone and everything about Combs is excellent. They've rescued me when I was stranded, fit me in as needed and keep me on schedule for general maintenance. My car is an '09 and I am confident that Combs will keep it humming along in the coming years. Without Combs to take care of my current car I surely would just buy a newer car. In that alone they are saving me a chunk of change. They take the time to explain what's going on, what needs immediate attention and what can wait. I could not be happier or more grateful to have found them.
We've been taking our cars to Scott and his guys at Combs for about 15 years now. I cannot say enough good things about them!! Always friendly, timely and most importantly honest! We've had every type of service done, and I wouldn't trust our vehicles to anyone else!!
I was so excited to do business with this shop.. Been looking for a trustworthy shop and this one had great reviews. Called on a Thursday and told them what part I needed replaced per Ford dealership. Combs quoted me a price, so I made appt for their next available day, Monday. Everything was great. Dropped car off and left. Until they made a "mistake". They weren't prepared to do the job, nor did they honor their quote. That's just dealing with the front desk. You can't get to the back of the shop, if you can't get past the front. Maybe they should be combing through their mistakes.
We love Combs! We initially chose it because it was so close to our house but we keep coming back because we receive great service. Everyone there is always so kind and respectful. I never feel pressured to make unnecessary repairs on my car. I would highly recommend this place! * Note, they are doing an excellent job taking Covid precautions and I feel completely safe bringing my car here.
Our family absolutely LOVES working with Comb's Auto. Their team is the real deal, and they honestly just want to help people. We've been taking our cars there for about 8 years now, and we've never been let down. Actually, we're typically surprised by their timeliness, professionalism, expertise and CARE! We once had work done that cost approx. $600, and we received a call from the Comb's crew that they were refunding our money because they were double checking their work afterwards and noticed that the job they had already completed should have fallen under warranty from work they had done in the previous 10 months. WE WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN THE DIFFERENCE, BUT THEY CALLED TO MAKE IT RIGHT. THAT'S AMAZING! Take your car to Comb's...you won't regret it.
Combs is THE BEST auto service in St. Louis. They have serviced mycar s)during the last 7 years with expert details. Everyone there is professional and friendly, competent and expert, honest and ethical. I would not think of going anywhere else. This week they honored their commitment to pick up my car because of COVID restrictions. They are the kindest folks and really care about their customers. And, they do a fantastic job with cars. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else!
I moved to the area five years ago and I couldn’t find a good mechanic. Scott and his team are straight-shooters. From oil changes to major repairs Scott’s guys do the job in a professional manner at a reasonable price. Thanks to all at Combs. Your the best!
Being a “car guy”, I’ve had them install sets of tires that I purchased online on a couple of cars now. They really know their stuff and care to do the job right. They hand-torqued the lugs (no torque sticks, which can be less accurate). They also called me to ask how much air pressure I wanted in the tires! TPMS sensors were no problem on my car that had them.They also clearly support the local community. This is the kind of business I wholeheartedly recommend.

Went there on a whim when my tire pressure was low. They’re so helpful and kind and I didn’t feel as though anyone was trying to take advantage of me by overcharging me since I’m a young woman. I’ve been trying to find a new repair shop so I could stop driving to IL where my parents live and I’m happy to say now I have.
I have used Combs for several years.They are honest,very trustworthy and always do a great job at reasonable prices.Their service is off the charts. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
